Omschrijving:What is Rinamakana foundation?
The name of 'rinamakana' is derived from two words of a regional language from Maluku Tengah (Middle Moluccas). Rina stands for 'light' and makana for 'strong', so 'rinamakana' stands for 'strong light'. In 1966 it was initially founded as 'Lembaga Pengembangan Sosial Ekonomi' (LPSE).

The first activities had a sosial charitable character. In 1974 the organisation was able to do the work from an office, with financial support by CEBEMO.
